Something out of this world is coming to Phoenix! This classic Orson Welles adaptation will transport you back to Halloween night in 1938 and incite panic in our listening audience... A Martian invasion is taking over the world--and it starts right here in Arizona. The Phoenix Art Deco Society is proud to announce a unique live theatre showing of the classic 1938 radio broadcast, "War of the Worlds." The event will transport audiences back in time, creating an immersive experience reminiscent of the original Mercury Radio Theatre broadcast in 1938 in the captivating Heritage Square Pavillion. Experience the original broadcast as if you were in the recording studio yourself with an added twist: live big band accompaniment, open dance floor, drink service with historic cocktails and mocktails, an intimate outdoor vintage setting, and more!
